LED-on-off

PE-B1: LED on/off Circuit

This entry is part 1 of 3 in the series Basic Electronic Circuits

In this experiment we will see how to make an LED on and off using a switch on breadboard.

Download the set of Practical Electronics Notes & Workbook and start constructing interesting circuits at home.

About Components

  • Resistor: It protects the LED from burning.
  • LED: There are different colors of LEDs – Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, White and Multicolor LED.
  • Switch: It become ON when pressed and becomes OFF when not pressed.

Circuit diagram & Working

Construct the first circuit in practical electronics and start the journey of fascinating world of practical electronics.
All components are in series. When we press the switch SW1 the LED is ON and when we release Sw1, the LED is OFF.

About LED On/Off Circuit
