Thevenin’s Theorem

Statement: A complex network consisting of sources and resistors can be replaced by a single equivalent source and single resistor in series with the source.

Proof: Consider the following circuit. Let the two resistors R1 and R2 are connected in series with DC source of e.m.f. E and having an internal resistance of ‘r’.
